Below is an overview of the average estimated fees for infertility treatment at iCare. We believe that information on fees should be available to you as it forms an important element of decision-making. The fees depend on which treatment option has been selected for you. We recommend that you compare the fees below with other fertility centres and you will find them competitive.
The fees listed are estimates. For IVF and ICSI, the actual fees may be higher or lower depending on the amount of medicines required to stimulate egg growth. The fees listed below include the a basic fertility work-up, consultations with the gynaecologist with ultrasound monitoring, medicines used and fees for procedures such as for egg collection as well as embryo transfer. Commonly, more than a third of the total fees in fresh cycles of IVF and ICSI are for the medicines used.
Medicines used to stimulate egg production are not necessary in thaw cycles. In thaw cycles, frozen embryos from previous egg stimulation and collection are transferred into the female partner. As a result, the fees for thaw cycle transfers are much lower compared to fresh cycle transfers.
If you reside outside Malaysia, you would need to add the cost of accommodation, air tickets and living expenses for a minimum of 2 weeks in Penang. You can reduce these costs when you join our Joint IVF Management Programme as there will be less need for frequent travel and you will need to be in Penang for only a few days.
When you join the Joint IVF Management Programme, the fees may vary as the early stages of IVF treatment are performed and therefore charged by our partner gynaecologist and not iCare. The Joint IVF Management Programme is a partnership programme by iCare with gynaecologists in and out of Malaysia who are attached to hospitals and clinics without fertility labs. This programme enables couples who live far away from Penang or Malaysia to be partially managed at their local gynaecologist. We will guide our partner gynaecologist through the early stages of IVF treatment. You will only need to come to iCare for the final stages of IVF treatment. As a result, this programme helps you keep treatment costs manageable and affordable. Please check with us for a partner gynaecologist in a location close to you.

"His patience, confidence, kindness & professionalism really encouraged me.
We tried a few cycles of IUI as well but weren't successful. He then introduced
IVF to us in year 2002. I gave birth to our triplets through C-section. I could
hear the cheers from the operating team when they saw our first princess. They
are turning 3 this year. They have different personalities and looks. They bring
joy and happiness to our family."

"What I thought would be almost impossible was made possible. It was a truly
worthy second try for a patient like me. I delivered a 4.3kg baby boy on 25th
February 2006."

Women who are age 30 and above must not wait too long before seeing a gynaecologist. It becomes increasingly urgent after 35. For women over 40 time is truly running out.
